Thanks to support from institutional and private partners, LFEL has designed U-SAV (UNIVERSAL SYSTEM FOR ANALYSIS OF VAPING) vaping machine. It can control the vaporization parameters and enables to register vapers’behaviour, their choice of E-cigarettes, E-liquids, flavors…
Dedicated to research about vaping products, U-SAV has multi-skilled functionalities which allows to :
- Diffuse a stable energy
- Use an external source of energy (battery type)
The control of a machine made by an IHM (Interface Human Machine) should present other benefits such as :
- The real time calculation of the resistance value.
- A stable power thanks to tension or electricity adjustments.
- A real power measurement of the tool vs the indicated power.
In order to complete these features,our scientific team has developed a cryogenic trap system which can condensate the water vapor of the vaporizator up to -45°C. This method enables to analyse the steam by detecting the aldehydes,BTEX,nicotine, aromatic molecules concentration. The trap methods currently used by other laboratories are not as efficient as the one we have developed.
Thanks to its features, U-SAV produces a lot of comparative data which can establish sustained foundations for research and respond precisely to declaratory and regulatory needs (Tobacco Product Directive, standards).
